How Court Orders Shaped Daily Life

County courts controlled much of everyday life. In the same sessions, the court granted liquor licenses, appointed road overseers, ordered land sales, set court dates, and authorized public projects. Decisions made in court directly affected travel, business, and personal affairs throughout the county.
